Step inside to discover a warm and inviting atmosphere, where modern amenities blend seamlessly with rustic charm. The spacious bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed that can easily become to single bed, adorned with soft linens, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploration.

Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and all the essentials you need to whip up a culinary masterpiece.

During your stay at Galleon Nook, take advantage of our convenient location to explore the natural beauty and attractions of the surrounding area. The Lounge

Picture a fully furnished area adorned with plush settees, complemented by a generous large-screen smart TV and a charming fireplace, inviting you to unwind in warmth and style. The ceiling, crafted from rich knotty pine, envelops the room in a cosy ambiance, perfect for moments of tranquillity. Whether you’re returning from a day of adventure or simply seeking respite at home, our lounge stands as a sanctuary, beckoning you to recharge and rejuvenate amidst its welcoming embrace.

The Bedroom

Step into our cosy bedroom, where a comfortable queen-size bed awaits, ready to provide an afternoon nap or a restful night’s sleep. At the request of our guests, the beds can easily be transformed into two single beds for added flexibility. The serene ambiance of the room is enhanced by the warm knotty pine ceilings extending the calm and tranquil atmosphere from the lounge. Sink into this inviting room, ensuring utmost relaxation and a blissful night’s rest. Soft lighting and bedside lamps illuminate the space, with complimentary books provided for your reading pleasure. For your convenience, the lamps are fitted with loadshedding globes, so will stay on during a power outage, for approximately 2 hours.

The Kitchen

From the convenience of an old very hot stove (don’t make them like this anymore) to the efficiency of a modern refrigerator, air fryer, microwave, and washing machine, every essential is at your fingertips. Cutlery, plates, and cooking utensils are thoughtfully provided, alongside a kettle and toaster for your convenience. The Restaurants located in this area are abundant and absolutely fantastic, they will truly impress you.

Swimming Pool

Dive into our inviting, swimming pool, nestled just outside the landlord’s lounge sliding doors, offering a refreshing shared facility for our guests. Let the worries of the day dissolve as you immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters, feeling rejuvenated with each move. Whether you’re starting your morning with a leisurely swim or unwinding after a day of adventure, our pool is the perfect retreat. Relax poolside with a refreshing drink in hand, or bask in the warm sun and let the tranquil ambiance wash over you. Equipped with solar panels on the roof, our salt pool ensures added comfort, with water temperatures rising an extra three to four degrees on consecutive sunny days, enhancing your swimming experience. You are welcome to spend leisurely time at the swimming pool to swim, read or simply relax in this part of the garden. Our friendly resident Dog and two Cats may pay you a visit at the swimming to offer a warm Hello!

Whether you’re enjoying a delicious meal or immersing yourself in focused work or study sessions, this space provides the perfect setting for both. The easy to move dining table offers a picturesque view of the garden, whilst fostering lively conversations over meals or providing a focused work / study facilities. Equipped with a dedicated Wi-Fi router and an uninterrupted power supply, you can stay connected even during load shedding, ensuring uninterrupted productivity. Bathed in natural light, this sunny and inviting space enhances your dining and work experience, making it a delightful place to spend time.

Bathroom

Step into our bathroom where a roomy shower awaits beneath the soothing cascade of water. Complete with a basin, toilet and built-in cupboard for convenient personal toiletry storage, our bathroom is designed for ease of use in mind. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with complimentary hand cream, shampoo, shower gel, soap and toilet rolls, ensuring a seamless transition into relaxation mode. Our towels, provided specifically for cottage guests, come in two sets, ensuring each guest has their own with a washing basket provided for convenience. With its neat and compact design, our bathroom serves its purpose, offering ample space to move around comfortably. The knotty pine ceiling adds a touch of rustic charm to the space, creating a cosy ambiance for your bathing experience.
